I'm trying to see this issue in Tokyo BSP 2019/January.
This issue can be reproduced under my ARCH=i386 git-pbuilder environment:
gbp buildpackage --git-pristine-tar --git-pbuilder
However it cannot be reproduced under simple git-buildpackage command
in stretch:
gbp buildpackage -us -uc --git-pristine-tar
I'll try to dig more later.
Cheers,
