in fact they all happen with the same program (claws-mail). I started to collect
stack traces of it in order to find the source of its crashes on my system.
(crashes happen every few weeks; I collected them for a few months)

An interesting idea!
I am tempted to rule this out, since I am used to an uptime of half a year or
more (many working hours a day; suspended in between) - only interrupted by an
accidentally drained battery from time to time.
Besides the claws-mail crashes I did not notice any other unexpected behavior.

Yes, I will do this after the next accidental shutdown.
