Hi,
Yeah, I must admit that I did a sloppy job: The last commit is the one that fixes the problem, based on bisection. Then I went back as many commits before it as was needed to get a patch that applied cleanly (and code that built and behaved).
I understand your aprehension. I'll ping upstream and ask if they can consider releasing a 1.2.1 soon. They might not be aware of the problem, as the fixing commit's intent seems to be different.
