Yes, it is a good idea.

As a translator, I am doomed to use all of these, plus CVS and
Monotone.  But I'm not an expert in any VCS.  Sigh.

I think that you being the maintainer of the main GNUstep packages
should choose your most convenient VCS without seeking agreement from
others.   Whatever you choose, it is OK for me.

I have a personal rule to prefer GNU software when there are several
alternatives with similar functionality.  But I've never maintained
Debian packages with Arch.  Time to learn maybe.

All the packages that I'm involved in are also available for others to
hack on.  If people do object to messages coming to the list from BTS,
we can put the team in Uploaders.  But I think the traffic has been
very low for years (I've been subscribed to all packages via the PTS).
