Does the package build successfully with noopt?  I would put my bet that
there's no ICE with -0O.  If so, it would be hard [1] to figure out in
which version the GCC regression occurred, because the last few
successful builds were unoptimized due to a bug in gnustep-make...

[1] Not hard, actually, it's just that building many GCC versions is no
fun :/

Hmm, not widespread at all in my lair/neighborhood unfortunately.
fencepost.gnu.org is the only machine I have access to, but the
toolchain there is ancient.  I'll build manually whatever is needed to
reproduce and submit a bug to the GCC people.
