[Debian GNUstep maintainers] Preparation for a GNUstep (and libobjc) transition

Greetings, debianized GNUsteppers!
It is time to roll up our sleeves again for the next GNUstep
transition. We're not pressed by the release timeline now, but it is
a fact that GNUstep development on a sid system is impossible due the
new Objective-C runtime in GCC 4.6.
GNUstep Base/1.22.0 and GUI/0.20.0 are already in experimental,
Back/0.20.1 is in the NEW queue. I rebuilt all GNUstep packages in
the archive, and the good news is that we have only 5 bugs to fix (as
opposed to 33 during the last transition):
Looking at the "principal" maintainers, it's 3 bugs for Gürkan
(gorm.app, gridlock.app, talksoup.app), 1 for Federico (gnustep-dl2)
and 1 for me (lynkeos.app). As usual, I'll look at the other bugs as
soon as I manage to fix mine.
Please work on these bugs and tag them accordingly when the fix is
ready. When all of them are tagged, I'll send a formal request for
the transition to the release team.
As is always the case, there are runtime bugs to be expected, so test
Still quite a few, some were removed from the archive during the
squeeze cycle following requests from the QA team. I'll send a
separate message once the transition is completed.
I have migrated almost all Arch-maintained packages to Git
repositories. I left only a few, that were bare Arch archives created
with tbp-importdsc with no subsequent development -- it's better to
use git-import-dscs for them.
Here is the full list of the repos:
