Package: gnustep-base-runtime
Version: 1.22.1-4.2+b1
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Hello,

I did today an upgrade and removed some of the gnustep packages and
since that, when I launch one of
the GNUstep applications (gorm, ...) it crashes with this message :

Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason: Tried to add
nil to array

I tried to build a hello world application in GNUstep and I get this
errors during compilation :

pl2link: Uncaught exception NSInvalidArgumentException, reason: Tried to
add nil to array
chmod: impossible d'accéder à
« ./HelloWorld.app/Resources/HelloWorld.desktop »: Aucun fichier ou
dossier de ce type

The executable was nevertheless made but launching it results in a
segmentation fault.

It seems like I have the same problem than reported here :
http://gnustep.8.n7.nabble.com/Problem-with-gnustep-trunk-td25268.html
and as suggested, changing
the LANG variable fixed the problem. My LANG variable is set to
fr_CH.UTF-8 and changing it to fr_CH,
fr_FR.UTF-8 or en_US.UTF-8 fixed the problem, even if the executable was
made with LANG=fr_CH.UTF-8.

To reproduce the problem, I guess you can launch a GNUstep applications
with LANG=fr_CH.UTF-8

Cheers,
Jonas
