Dear Maintainer,

On Debian testing (and not on bookworm), after installing the package gnustep-
base-runtime, running the plget command leads to the following error:

Could not obtain the value of DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH: sh: 1: dpkg-architecture: not
found
Aborted

This is due to dpkg-architecture command being used but the package dpkg-dev is
not installed. gnustep-base-runtime and possibly other packages should depend
on the dpkg-dev package or find another way to obtain the necessary information
instead of using dpkg-architecture.

This problem was first noticed on FreedomBox's SOGo integration:
