   * debian/rules (Build-Depends): Switch to debhelper-compat 14.
     Add dh-sequence-single-binary.
     (Depends): Remove substvars.
     (Priority, Rules-Requires-Root): Remove; redundant.
     (Standards-Version): Claim compliance with 4.7.4.
   * debian/patches/FTBFS-kFreeBSD: Delete as the ports are gone, sadly.
   * debian/patches/default-utf8: Mark as Forwarded: not-needed.  This
     issue is already fixed upstream in a different way.
   * debian/patches/use-termios.h.patch: New; cherry-picked from upstream.
   * debian/watch: Upgrade to version 5; use canonical Savannah URL.
   * debian/copyright: Update copyright years for Debian packaging.
