I debootstrapped a clean etch and I still get this.
This machine is running under Xen so i got someone else to test it on an
unstable chroot on an amd64 machine not running Xen.
I have been unable to reproduce this on x86_32. It also doesn't
happen in a x86_32 etch chroot on the same machine amd64(x86_64).
