2.8.x to unstable?

Given that the next freeze will be December, what do you think about
speeding up the upload of 2.8.x into unstable?  I can't seem to find the
URL to the summary of the gnutls-config script bug issues now -- however
if there haven't been significant progress on that issue, I suggest we
include a backwards-compatible gnutls-config script in the debian gnutls
2.8.x package so that other debian packages will continue to build
anyway.  What do you think?

As upstream I'd hate to have to support 2.6.x for years...
