No, If upstream knows about it and fixes somewhere it is ok. binutils-gold 
isn't used by buildd right now, so just it is just needed somewhere in the 
future. If Debian starts to set it as default before 2.10.x is released or the 
old binutils changes its default behavior then a backport would be needed - 
but I don't see it right now. Just report it to the right persons and let them 
do their job.
