Package: libgcrypt20-dev
Version: 1.6.3-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

If package dpkg-dev is not installed, the command

    libgcrypt-config --libs

prints this error to standard error:

    /usr/bin/libgcrypt-config: 1: /usr/bin/libgcrypt-config: dpkg-architecture: not found

This is printed to standard output:

    -L/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu -lgcrypt

(Package dpkg-dev contains dpkg-architecture.)

If dpkg-dev is installed, the same command prints this to standard output:

    -lgcrypt

and nothing is printed to standard error.

Should dpkg-dev be a dependency of libgcrypt20-dev?
