Hi,

on my local installation, I cannot reproduce the described issue.  
However, my test rig for MATE is a very minimal system setup. I don't  
use MATE for productive work.

 From apt-rdepends, one can guess, that the libgcrypt dependency  
relates to GVFS. Do you have any external file system resources tied  
into your desktop? E.g. SSHFS, WebDAV or such a thing?

Please provide more info on your setup to get this fixed before the release.
