Why is that? The upstream you are using for upload is not similar to the
one from git?

In my experience, if you want upstream to cooperate, you need to talk to
them from a different perspective. They are already convinced we don't
serve any useful purpose, so going at them saying that what they doing
is wrong won't get you anywhere.
