No worries, it is easy to miss other package with Provide and it is not bad 
that you've introduced package compliant with naming convention.
ftp-masters mostly review licensing and other DFSG compliance requirements.
It wouldn't be the first case when we upload the same source with intent to 
rename the package and decommission the old one...

After all we have this situation because upstream moved/renamed the 
project...

Breaks/Replaces in one package should be enough, if we are going to keep one 
package. Then perhaps we could remove older package?
