Point taken, there are worthy features to desire. :)
I'll see if I can upgrade Consul package.

I could have packaged newer versions for experimental if I had more time...
Having Consul at the exact version as expected by Nomad helps to reduce 
burden of testing -- it is almost certain that Nomad would work with newer 
Consul but that would have to be proven before upload by run-time testing of 
Nomad which takes time...
