Well, there is a version in libpod,
https://github.com/containers/libpod/blob/master/version/version.go

I agree that there are lots dependencies just like other golang libraries
in Debian today have no versioning, but I will try to work with upstream
developers where I can get hold of to get versioning as many as possible.

However, it does not necessary mean those container-tools are in bad quality
or whatelse, as those packages have been tested throughout in Fedora/RHEL where
used by enterprise customers and been packaged in other distros already like
openSUSE etc.
