In my opinion, for sure, security updates are more important than
bundling the modern UI, especially since we have never managed to do so
yet, as far as I remember.

I also wonder if an argument could be made here that we *could* ship
vendored binaries for the UI, perhaps in a separate package, while those
things get packaged 'correctly'.
