It's a dumb error message, but the real problem is that it's checking the
output of curl-config --vernum, which is empty in libcurl3-openssl-dev
7.15.0-3.  (The generated error message uses the value of curl-config
--version instead.)  I assume that since the commandline option still
exists, that it's meant to still be available for use.
