HDF4 provides a partial implementation of NetCDF with the same namespace
for nc* functions. That prevents GDAL linking both libraries and
could result in an incorrect support of netcdf files. This subtle
issue needs to be resolved by providing the alternative implementation
of the HDF4 libraries, with a different namespace for the embedded nc* 
functions (which also incidentally drops fortran bindings).
