Sorry Andreas, but if I understood correctly your suggestion, you are
proposing a non-packaging list for GIS related topics in Debian? I found
that interesting but quite a duplicate of the -general list whose
topic was from start discussing packaging issues AND other GIS 
related topic. So IMHO it makes sense moving the whole list in any
case, to avoid unuseful duplicates.
