Thanks for the patch.

I looked at this and the mapserver issue, but hadn't gotten around to
fixing it for gdal yet.

I'll prepare a new gdal 1.10.1 revision using your patch for upload to
unstable.

We have gdal 1.11.0 in experimental, but I still need to test the
rebuilds of its reverse dependencies before we can request the transition.
