Also thanks for reporting this issue.

It is caused by the recent update of protobuf to 3.0.0, and like the 
update to 2.6.0 (#761562) adding a patch with the regenerated sources 
(using osmosis-osm-binary/osmosis-protoc.sh) is sufficient to support 
the new protobuf version.
