No news, upstream commented in the issue twice but that died down since.

You shouldn't have waited for this issue to request the transition slot.
As I said before, I'll remove the SFCGAL dependency from PostGIS if this
issue is not resolved when the CGAL transition starts. That way we can
keep postgis is testing.

Just raise the severity of this issue to serious when the transition
starts. That's the usual procedure for blocking issues and transitions. [0]
