The upstream repo has the .pyx file:

 https://github.com/pytroll/pykdtree/blob/master/pykdtree/kdtree.pyx

It's not included in the PyPI sources because it's not included in
MANIFEST.in.

If the repo tagged its releases to PyPI the git tags could be unused
instead to have the complete source tree.
