My idea is to fix it in the fastest possible way to unlock python 3.9 on debian.
I plan to work on it tonight.
Then I will send a couple of patches to pytroll to make the pykdtree a little bit more “packaging friendly”.


PS: probably also python-geotiepoints has a “cythonizaion” problem but in that case the fix should be easier.
