protozero participates in dependency loops relevant to architecture
bootstrap. Instead of looking into such a difficult problem, I looked
into easily droppable dependencies. It turns out that protozero depends
on the main protobuf implementation for testing. This is great. I
propose annotateing those dependencies <!nocheck>. Please consider
applying the attached patch.
