The new upstream version contains small bug fixes that it could make sense to have in bullseye.
Nothing critical of course.

Also I have tested (locally) the new version with all the reverse dependencies (satpy and pyspectral).

OK, no problem, I can target it to experimental if you prefer.
Jus I can’t do it right now because I’m starting a long teleconference meeting.
