I was not able to contact upstream.
By the way https://github.com/kapadia/usgs/pull/38 probably was premature.

If you don't mind, I would kindly ask you to upload the package.
The package is not so complex so, for the time being I can take in 
charge of maintaining debian patches.

I'm confident that if some serious issue arises the eodag upstream will 
drop the package, and at that point, we could do the same.
