The upstream & pristine-tar branches are not pushed:

  https://debian-gis-team.pages.debian.net/policy/packaging.html#git-push-to-salsa

I've pushed my branches so you likely need to rebase your local ones.

These changes should be separate commits to ease review, reverting, and cherry-picking.
You are diverging from our other Python packages, which all use on autopkgtest-pkg-pybuild and don't need your d/rules changes.

I've reverted your changes, and pushed some that follow our team conventions to update new upstream releases as documented in our team policy.

Which changes of your changes do you think the packaging in our repo still needs now?

We already run Salsa CI via d/.gitlab-ci.yml, and run autopkgtest via pybuild.

In my view we mostly need to add build dependencies for the test target, and add pytest markers to skip the ones we can run.

Looks like we don't have all dependencies for some of the providers, those should be option in my opinion, and we need an easy way to skip those (pytest markers).

Kind Regards,

Bas
