So, yes, I wanted to prepare a wiki page we all can contribute to, on git usage, and package building: [1].

The Perl group has a good guide, the one I used to learn about this stuff. My intention is to adapt their guide to our case. So far, however,
there is only a link to the Perl group guide, and the new wiki page itself. I hope to have more time for gridengine this weekend, indeed, when I
meet Michael too.
