[Pkg-gridengine-devel] Suggestion for SGE version release in Debian stable-backports

Hi, Dave,
While you've released 8.1.9 a while ago, I've been stabilizing the
Debian packaging with 8.1.8 and I think that it's all ready now. I have
configured it so that the daemons always stop before removal of the
package and start up after installation. In this way, I think upgrades
will be handled appropriately.

What I can do now that the package is in testing is to make it available
to Stable via the stable-backports repository. Do you think I should do
this with 8.1.8, or forget about 8.1.8 and start targeting 8.1.9? I'm
asking because your release notes indicate some significant changes in
8.1.9.
