Yes, indeed. But here is my point, why I would like to have a decent
boot menu:

* If something goes wrong with the first disk, it will be - according
  to Murphy's Law - in a time when you (or somebody else) need the box
  up and running *immediately*.
* Who knows how to edit an entry on the fly - definitely not me and
  definitely not when the boss looks over my shoulder.
* Finally it would be much easier for a novice user.

I think it would be much easier to set up the boot menu when you have
time to do it.

Yes, see above.

BTW, I don't see any problem when adding this option. It just adds one
feature with little effort to an already well-working script. Jason,
are there other reasons for your objection? I'm open to any
discussion.
