Oh, I am very sorry. I did not test the bugs WEB in some time. I am very 
sorry for having formatted the partition again. I think the problem was 
NOT /etc/fstab/, cause I modified it from woody to the new partitions 
and it did NOT work. I also used the root=  option with no results. Lilo 
worked ok.

I think I can not replicate the bug again.
