Installing grub using grub-install gives this:
   # grub-install --root-directory=/boot /dev/hda
   //lib/grub/i386-pc/stage1: Not found.

It is found that /sbin/grub-install has:
   exec_prefix=/
   libdir=${exec_prefix}/lib

But grub files are actually in /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc. Changing libdir to
refer to /usr/lib fixes the problem.
