Dear Grub maintainers:

 

Do you know if there is a patch for the bug that prevents grub from
installing correctly on an image file?

 

The problem is what is described in the thread
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2004-05/msg00120.html
<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-grub/2004-05/msg00120.html>  and
seems to be related to #250938 as well.

 

At the end of the above thread, there is some indication that a fix was in
hand, but we don't see it in 0.95.  This seems to be consistent with bug
#250938 still being open.

 

Do you know if there is a patch in the making for this?  Would be happy to
test it :-)
