Hello,
I have installed Sarge with Debian Installer Pre-RC2 in my PC.
I have a 120 Gb HDD with a NTFS partition of 80 GB for Windows XP (this partition is the first).
After install grub in the MBR (the version in the Pre-RC2 is grub_0.95+cvs20040624-9_i386.deb) my machine can not get boot: Grub Error 17.
If a try to boot from a floppy grub disk, after put root (hd0,2) in the grub prompt the following messega appears: "Error 18: Selected cylinder exceeds maximim supported by BIOS).
If I make the installation of sarge with "expert26" and I select "lilo", the machine boot without any problem.
Is there a new version of grub???
Thanks,
Jose Corbacho
PS: I have looking for a solution in "google" for this problem, but I can not found it.
