Package: grub
Version: 0.90-19

Ran into a bizzare problem today, on our isp1100 1U servers the latest
version of grub refuses to work, tried from the hard disk (ide) and
from the floppy with the same results. Grub 0.5.93.1 works fine on
these same machines. The isp1100 has console redirection but grub
0.90 fails on it with this enabled or disabled so I'm skeptical if its
grub's serial code thats interfering. The symptom is generally that
grub can't get past Stage 1.5 (or Stage 1 when its configured to jump
directly to Stage2).
