I checked your patch and its looks great. I would keep to it apply
against new upstream version instead of put it now since we're
starting to work to move to it.

If you can help us would be great.

Jason: do you have any problem with the proposed patch? I fell very
confortable with it and doesn't have any problem to apply it on 0.97.
