New feature for update-grub

Hi Everyone
I hacked a bit, partly by applying a patch, and partly my own code. My
hacking results is an update-grub where it is possible to let it update
the default entry, such that you keep the same boot entry after
installing a new kernel. I have tested it and so far it seems to work
just perfect.
The patch would close #233966, #276477 and #330083.
Why I ask if I should commit this, is that we are actually introducing a
new feature that makes changes in the menu.lst outside of the auto
generated part.
I really like the feature, and I think it would be nice to have it, not
least because the amount of work in adding it, is for me to update the
man page, changelog and commit the thing.
Think about it please
