Hi,
I'm afraid you got it wrong. :-) I meant that 'grub2' is considered to be
in an experimental phase, not that it is only available in 'experimental'
(it is in 'testing'). A quote from the package description of the 'grub2'
package currently in 'testing' (1.94+20060926-1):
"This package contains EXPERIMENTAL software which hasn't been properly
tested and doesn't have all the expected features. For a stable and usable
bootloader look at GRUB instead."
If I accept this description to be right, I won't entrust it to load my
production systems.. So I still have to use the 'grub' package, and either
manually (or with some small script) edit the generated menu.lst files, or
modify the your official 'grub' package, and use that.
