Status of grubconf ?

Hi grub maintainers,

While I was looking at grub-splashimages' bugs, I noticed #276195 which
concerns the status of grubconf in testing.

grubconf is officialy dead upstream since september 2005, and the last
official release happened in march 2004.

It has 2 critical bugs for more than 1 year, tagged upstream.

boot-admin in gnome-system-tools used to provide an alternative, but it
has been disable due to many bugs (maybe boot-admin was just grubconf..)

What about removing grubconf from the archive ?
