Bug#298240: Isn't this issue kind of resolved allready?

Version: 0.97-22
Followup-For: Bug #298240

Since grub as of the current release allready does support bootsplash
images this problem is kind of resolved though when one installs the
grub-splashimages package.

So why is this issue marked as wontfix instead of just closing it?
