Grub on monochrom monitor

Hi

First, i want to thank you for maintaining debian grub package. 
Because i use grub on all systems i maintain, live is easier, because of 
your work.
Today i installed a system with monochrom hercules monitor. It worked, 
but the grub menu wasn't displayed correctly because your color entry in 
/boot/grub/menu.lst. This file was created during debian installation, 
but i guess it comes from grub package.
Maybe it's possible to use the debian configuration dialogs (sorry, 
don't know the real name of it) to choose between color and monochrom 
setup?
