Hi,

This bug report is a reminder that some operations are simply not
possible under grub-efi, which makes grub-efi not suitable for general
consumption just yet.

The technical challenge of writing a EFI keyboard driver that enables
'ctrl' key is interesting. However, as a viable workaround, I consider
it acceptable may be to have a special key combination for grub-efi
which uses other keys than the ctrl key.

Most of Intel's code is available through gnu-efi, which I suspect
should have gone through legal inspection.
