Yes, it was the fact that grub2 was chainloaded that caused the problem.
But I was afraid to upgrade because grub2 didn't seem to work.
A deadlock. But I dared the upgrade and it works fine. So you might
want to add a note saying that an upgrade might even be wise even
though it seems to lock up.
