Personnaly I cannot evaluate the future of evms. It is originally a very nice
piece of software, but it is currently not further develpped, because IBM seems
to have taken the ressources from the project. I will return my machines one
by one back to plain mdadm and lvm2, because snapshotting with 2.6-kernels is
not working any more.

Yes, works now.
