Bug#436943: out of partition with XFS

Hi, I've been able to reproduce this bug with the most recent version in sid.

This is from a fresh VMware Fusion VM, installed via netinst of sid
using the Lenny Beta 2 d-i images.

grub-install fails when it hits grub-setup with:

grub-setup: info: opening the device `/dev/sda1'
grub-setup: info: couldn't open the core image
grub-setup: info: error message = out of partition
grub-setup: error: Cannot read `/boot/grub/core.img' correctly

Disk info and a full log are attached.
