Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.96+20080724-2
Severity: important

I'm using lilo but I had the grub (version 1) package installed.
Now when trying to install grub2 the following debconf question
popped up:

,---- [ debconf question ]
| The following Linux command line was extracted from the `kopt' parameter in GRUB Legacy's menu.lst. Please
| verify that it is correct, and modify it if necessary.
|
| Linux command line:
`----

... though the whole input line (regarding the "Linux command line")
was empty. Then the package installation continued as follows:

[...]
Unpacking grub2 (from .../grub2_1.96+20080724-2_i386.deb) ...
Setting up grub-common (1.96+20080724-2) ...
Setting up grub-pc (1.96+20080724-2) ...
Generating core.img
Saving menu.lst backup in /boot/grub/menu.lst_backup_by_grub2_postinst
cp: cannot stat `/boot/grub/menu.lst': No such file or directory
dpkg: error processing grub-pc (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of grub2:
 grub2 depends on grub-pc; however:
Package grub-pc is not configured yet.
dpkg: error processing grub2 (--configure):
